Even Paul's death is 'thought' to have been in Rome - but there is little verifyable evidence - mostly we have speculations from the Catholic Church that are dated very late.

Even Paul's death is 'thought' to have been in Rome - but there is little verifyable evidence - mostly we have speculations from the Catholic Church that are dated very late.
The popular Catholic tradition related to his death is that as a Roman citizen, he was exempt from crucifixion, so he was beheaded with a sword, in Rome c. 64.
